- Summary
- Very exciting work with aquatic vertebrates and invertebrates is being undertaken at the cellular and subcellular level. Thus, the editors want to provide a forum for those investigators who, because of their well-recongized expertise and accomplishments, would be able to convey an understanding of the latest developments in aquatic toxicology at the molecular and cellular level of organization. This book is not intended to be comprehensive. Practical considerations relating to bringing virtually all the excellent research being conducted into one volume would have been an almost impossible task. They wish to make the point, however, that their contributors are among the very best in their repective fields, and their scientific interests are pivotal to understanting toxic chemical stresses on a variety of important aquatic systems and in charting the course of future research.
