  • The whole life and confession of James Hill [pseud.], commonly called John the painter, from a manuscript of his own writing. To which is added the chief of the evidence on his tryall, with the judge's charge to the jury, for wilfully, maliciously, and traiterously setting fire to a certain building, called the Rope House, in his majesty's dock yard, at Portsmouth, on Saturday, the 7th day of December, 1776.
